The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for all administrative aspects of the SMSFs that Netwealth administers. The key deliverable is the they are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This role provides key support and assistance to the accountants in the team. It is also the key conduit between the funds’ auditors, advisers and trustees, ensuring all documents are dispatched and received in a timely manner to ensure compliance with lodgement deadlines.

The primary responsibility of the SMSF Fund Administrator is:

  • Collation of establishment documents including trust deeds, company constitutions and Netwealth administration agreements for new SMSFs
  • Processing third payments or initiating requests for payments
  • Preparation of invoices and following up of amounts outstanding if required for work performed on SMSFs
  • Preparation and dispatch of BAS/IAS on a quarterly/annual basis
  • Preparation and dispatch of end of year-end reporting packs
  • Liaising with key stakeholders including, trustees, advisers and auditors
  • Other ad-hoc duties as needed and providing assistance to the wider Finance team when required including assisting accounts payable
  • Providing support to Netwealth Reception by providing relief in some circumstances.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A basic understanding of SMSFs and the regulatory environment that they operate in
  • A knowledge and understanding of financial products and their application and of financial services regulation and disclosure requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to enable effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and preparation of reports and disclosure documents
  • Attention to detail, to ensure complete and accurate information in financial documents
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to work autonomously
  • A strong customer service centric with the desire to provide excellent client service to trustees and advisers.
