About Legal, Risk and Compliance

The Legal, Risk and Compliance team at Netwealth consists of Legal, Operational Risk and Compliance, Regulatory Risk and Compliance, Risk Framework and Company Secretarial functions.  The team acts in a Line 2 capacity across these functions for each of Netwealth’s entities and business functions.  Netwealth is an administrator, custodian, operator, trustee, responsible entity and listed company. 

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Supplier Manager, reporting to the Head of Legal.  Working on a Part Time basis (3 days a week) you will be responsible for assessing new suppliers to determine materiality and assist with contractual terms/ negotiation to ensure the risk is appropriate.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, review and advise on draft contracts with suppliers as requested by business units.
  • Manage tasks in line with business priorities and ensure new supplier arrangements are in accordance with Netwealth’s policies and the law.
  • Conduct assessments as required by Netwealth’s policies and the law to ensure all actions as required are completed.
  • Prepare and maintain the supplier register, ensuring it is always accurate and up to date.
  • Proactively identify contracts that are no longer required and work with the business to resolve and remove them from the register.
  • Provide recommendations to reduce supplier risk both through the formulation of better contractual terms and through governance and due diligence performed on supplier arrangements.
  • Manage Netwealth’s response to the Modern Slavery Act requirements and to work with our suppliers to identify modern slavery risks that may exist in their supply chains.
  • Identification, management and delivery of supplier-related projects, as required.

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Procurement and contracting experience, ideally within the financial services and/or technology industries;
  • Knowledge of the investment platform (superannuation and IDPS) and managed investments industries (in particular, managed investment schemes and separately managed accounts);
  • A degree in law, commerce, economics or finance (or similar);
  • A positive and proactive attitude and an ability to adapt to change
  • A passion for providing outstanding service to your stakeholders
