The Opportunity: 

As an Developer in Test Automation within Netwealth, you'll implement organisation-wide improvements to the quality of our code and infrastructure.  This is a newly created role for someone to use their passion for both development and testing to measure software quality.  You will work closely with architects, developers and testers to constantly adapt and improve our test strategy to meet fast-changing priorities within our business.

This is a great opportunity for someone who equally enjoys coaching and hands-on coding.

In our team you will:

  • Work across several mature scrum teams
  • Develop test automation scripts for unit, integration, end-to-end
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Conduct code reviews and peer programming with Developers
  • Implement the correct test tooling and frameworks as required;
  • Prepare test data
  • Be experienced in clean code techniques, coding standards and refactoring code for better testability;
  • Use your coaching skills to influence and inspire teams;
  • Confidently communicate the value of automated testing to stakeholders;
  • Run knowledge sharing/training sessions with Developers and Testers to improve automated tests;
  • Demonstrate an optimistic attitude.

Your technical skills will include some or all of the following: 

  • .net Development
  • C# and JS coding
  • Powershell scripting
  • Non-functional testing (performance, stress, volume)
  • Maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Version control tools (Git, TFS)
  • Using monitoring and dashboarding tools (such as Nagios, Splunk, Dynatrace) to proactively track code quality
  • Cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Trunk based development
  • Knowledge of test frameworks and tooling (Cypress, NUnit)
  • Code-scanning tools (such as SonarQube)

This is a permanent full-time role, however part-time options will be considered for the right candidate.
