The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Systems Engineer - Security Operations to join our established infrastructure team.  At Netwealth, you will be part of a growing and talented group of agile and curious people who work together to achieve phenomenal outcomes for our customers. Working in an infrastructure team within a flat organisational structure, you'll have the opportunity to contribute across the entire infrastructure ecosystem while interacting closely with stakeholders from across the business.

In this role you’ll:

  • Lead the investigation of security incidents and intrusion attempts
  • Configure and test security technology solutions and manage internal vulnerability scanning
  • Manage the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and processes
  • Assist with external security audits and implement findings
  • Administer and refine Access and Identity Management processes to ensure Netwealth staff and clients have simple and secure access to required systems which is controlled and audited
  • Help secure our customer facing web and mobile applications across a hybrid-cloud environment
  • Assist the other Systems Engineers with the design, deployment and administration of IT&T infrastructure solutions as required
  • Provide assistance with desk-side and telephone support to Netwealth group employees as required to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
  • Collaborate with the Development Team to drive the ongoing evolution of our development capabilities, DevOps technologies and techniques
  • Assist with the management and testing of the Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Look for new ways to resolve reoccurring problems and use problem solving techniques to solve technical issues and improve efficiency
  • Demonstrate a passion for technology and innovation and keep up-to-date with emerging products and solutions
  • Demonstrate an ability to multitask and manage your responsibilities with minimal supervision and with high quality outcomes
  • Assist with other duties as may be directed by management from time to time

  • Proven background in Systems Administration
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
  • The ability to interact comfortably and confidently with stakeholders
  • Outstanding analytical skills and an inquisitive mind
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • A passion for technology and innovation and a desire to keep up-to-date with emerging products and solutions
  • Good knowledge of a range of desktop software products and services, including Office 365

The following are also highly regarded:

  • A tertiary qualification in IT or a related discipline
  • MCSA/MCSE/CEH/CISM or similar industry certifications
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Exposure to industry leading SIEM products and Vulnerability Management tools
